Kohl’s has added brands including Carhartt, Hanes and Levi’s to its newly christened in-store returns service, The Return Drop @ Kohl’s. The retailer has partnered with Inmar Post-Purchase Solutions and Narvar to provide shoppers with package-free, label-free returns in its 1,100+ stores nationwide.
Kohl’s has years of experience in this area; the retailer partnered with Amazon in 2017 to accept returns for the ecommerce giant, expanding the service chainwide in 2019.
After initiating a return through the original brand or retailer, shoppers can select “Kohl’s Drop Off” to download a QR code generated by Narvar. After shoppers bring the item and code to any Kohl’s store, the consolidated returns are forwarded to Inmar for final destination dispositioning.
“Providing shoppers with convenient services is critical to Kohl’s ongoing commitment to the customer experience,” said Gregg Barta, EVP of Supply Chain and Logistics at Kohl’s in a statement. “Not only will The Return Drop @ Kohl’s remove friction for customers, but it will also provide operational benefits and efficiencies to participating retailers and brands.”

Kohl’s has relied on partnerships to boost foot traffic at its stores, including a long-time shop-in-shop agreement with Sephora and a more recent one with Claire’s. Additionally, in March 2024, Kohl’s boosted its seasonal assortment, promising 60% newness in home and holiday décor as a way to encourage return shopper visits.
