Wawa Joins Retail Media Network Club

Wawa has launched Goose Media Network, the c-store chain’s retail media network (RMN), to give brands the opportunity to reach Wawa customers online as well as via the mobile app and videos played at the gas pump. Wawa worked with Publicis Groupe’s Publicis Sapient, Epsilon and CitrusAd to create the new offering.

“Goose Media Network elevates convenience by delivering offers to customers right where they shop and allows us to build new connections with our customers and partners’ brands,” said Melissa Seabright, Advertising Manager for Wawa in a statement. “This new opportunity will help connect our customers with new and relevant offers from brands they love while allowing us to increase visibility for our product partners.”

Retailers of all types and sizes have been launching RMNs over the past few years, with recent additions including Planet Fitness in January 2024, so Wawa is entering a crowded field. In the c-store vertical, industry giant 7-Eleven launched its Gulp Media Network in October 2022.
