Skechers is bringing its brand to new audiences with a virtual store in Roblox aimed at younger consumers and a new co-branded collection with tractor brand John Deere designed for agricultural and construction professionals.
Skechers Roblox Store Banks 3.4 Million Visits in First 5 Weeks
Skechers has opened its first virtual store in Livetopia’s Topia Mall on Roblox with the help of Super League and Century Games. Visitors to the store can participate in games to win exclusive Skechers digital items and create looks inspired by real-world Skechers products.
The Skechers shop in Roblox is designed to build community and engage young consumers, and it appears to be working: In the first five weeks, the Roblox virtual store has seen 3.4 million visits, 4 million virtual try-ons and generated nearly 45 million impressions.
“From our footwear to our marketing efforts, Skechers always embraces the latest technology to excite our customers,” said Michael Greenberg, President of Skechers in a statement. “Our activation in Topia Mall is yet another example of how we seek to connect and engage with our fans on the platforms where they socialize, from social media and gaming to immersive metaverses. For many Roblox users, this is their first chance to visit a Skechers store with their friends where they can try out their favorite styles, create their unique look and get to know our brand.”

“The Skechers experience in Livetopia is a great example of leveraging the power of immersive technology to capture the attention of a specific audience and deliver data and analytics that translates into actionable insights about their consumers,” said Super League Chair and CEO Ann Hand in a statement.
Nothing Runs Like a John Deere…Except Maybe John Deere Skechers
Back in the physical world, Skechers has teamed up with John Deere for a co-branded collection designed for agricultural professionals, construction workers and outdoor enthusiasts.
The full range of Skechers x John Deere sport, adventure, work, utility sneakers and casual styles will be available at Skechers stores and online, as well as Skechers’ retail partners, in July. Designed with sturdy construction and premium, waterproof materials, the new men’s collection pairs John Deere’s rugged durability with Skechers’ comfort and style. The initial line will include Skechers hands-free slip-in, arch fit and relaxed fit technologies. Children’s styles will feature kid-friendly innovations such as Skechers’ air-cooled memory foam and machine washable technology.
“Skechers x John Deere is the union of two trusted American brands to deliver comfort that performs for millions who need and want it,” said Michael Greenberg, President of Skechers in a statement. “We’ve worked in close collaboration with John Deere’s team to ensure that our offering meets consumers’ needs — from our advanced technologies to durable designs emblazoned with their iconic colors. This collection will serve many demographics looking to add the Deere brand to their shoe collection, and we’re confident that Skechers x John Deere will build a devoted following across work, fashion and the street.”
“The John Deere brand is exemplified by the active, hard-working farmers, construction workers, maintenance crews and weekend warriors who bring our brand to life,” said Mara Downing, VP of Corporate Communications and Brand Management at John Deere in a statement. “We’re thrilled this partnership will bring the innovative, rugged and high-quality footwear Skechers is known for to all those who live and work just as hard as our customers.”
