Hollister has unveiled a 67-piece apparel collection featuring graphics from more than 30 colleges and universities, aiming to fill what it sees as a market white space with trendy items showing school spirit that also fit into young consumers’ aesthetic. The crewneck sweatshirts, hoodies and T-shirts range in price from $29.99 to $59.99 and are available online and in select stores.
“We’re excited to offer our customers high-quality, comfortable product as they head back to school,” said Corey Robinson, Chief Product Officer of Hollister parent company Abercrombie & Fitch in a statement. “Our Collegiate Graphics Shop provides designs beyond what are typically offered in most retail stores and on-campus bookstores.”
The brand will enlist more than 350 college student athletes across 10+ sports to serve as ambassadors and share their Hollister game day outfits on social media. The fall roster includes Ohio State University running back TreVeyon Henderson, University of Florida and USA women’s gymnast Leanne Wong, University of Michigan quarterback Alex Orji and UCLA point guard Dylan Andrews.
Wong, who served as an alternate for the USA Women’s Gymnastics team at the Paris Olympics, is eagerly anticipating wearing the apparel when she returns to campus this fall. “I’m so proud to be a Gator and love that Hollister is giving student-athletes like me fashionable options to rep our teams,” she said in a statement.
