DoorDash has added tax-advantaged HSA and FSA accounts as payment options for on-demand delivery of more than 30,000 eligible products. To publicize the new option, the delivery service has added “HSA/FSA Eligible” labels under individual products on select merchants’ store pages. Many of these benefits are “use it or lose it,” with unused funds not carried over into the new calendar year, making Q4 a prime time for consumers to access them.
In addition to sick day essentials, eligible items include select OTC medications, COVID-19 test kits, first aid supplies, menstrual products, sunscreen, home diagnostic devices and pregnancy and fertility tests. Participating retailers include Albertsons, CVS, Dollar General, Hy-Vee, Meijer, Rite Aid, Safeway, Walgreens, Winn-Dixie and 7-Eleven.
DoorDash customers will need to add their HSA/FSA information to their DoorDash profile and will need to specifically select their HSA or FSA card to avoid having their default payment method used for orders.
Additionally, through Nov. 24, customers using the code HEALTHY30 will get 30% off eligible health orders of $25 or more (up to $12). Members of the DashPass loyalty program will receive free delivery on eligible orders.
