Luxury bedding and home décor brand Boll & Branch has implemented the Oracle NetSuite enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to advance its brand mission of transforming the way home textiles are sourced, made and purchased. With a new, integrated business system, the brand is now able to automate key financial processes, optimize inventory and efficiently scale its operations.

Since its founding in 2014, Boll & Branch has evolved from an online direct-to-consumer (DTC) business to a complete omnichannel organization that has a presence on Amazon, at major retailers like Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom, as well as branded brick-and-mortar stores nationwide. As the business’ operations, product portfolio and sales channels expanded, it needed to evolve its manual financial and inventory processes, which were largely responsible for data inaccuracies and disrupted business reporting.

“As our company grew, we knew we needed more automation when it came to our data and finances,” said David Reid, CFO of Boll & Branch, in a statement. “With NetSuite, we have been able to improve productivity and create a real-time view of performance across the business. In addition, better access to insights has helped us identify new revenue opportunities and drive more profitable growth.”

Unlocking New Growth Opportunities

Since implementing NetSuite, Boll & Branch has not only been able to improve efficiencies and overall reporting accuracy but also unlock richer insights to grow the company. For example, an advanced inventory solution has helped the team gain a real-time view of inventory and orders across sales channels so it can optimize the fulfillment experience. Boll & Branch also can now better understand demand by location so it can improve product availability and create more targeted marketing campaigns.

However, it is Boll & Branch’s improved supply chain visibility that is most helping the business uphold its vision and values as a Fair Trade partner and better calculate premiums to invest back into local farm and production communities.

“As a retailer committed to quality and sustainability, managing margins is central to Boll & Branch’s success,” said Sam Levy, SVP of Growth and Operations at Oracle NetSuite. “With NetSuite, Boll & Branch has a unified view of its business and can easily access the insights it needs to improve productivity, manage costs and optimize profit margins. As Boll & Branch expands its operations, NetSuite has the scalability to grow with its business and act as a force multiplier for efficiency.”
