Amazon Canada has added new delivery windows for Prime members in Greater Toronto, southwestern Ontario and metro Vancouver, including overnight delivery that allows customers to place an order as late as midnight and see it on their doorstep the next morning.
Items available for this new delivery will be marked “Prime Overnight” in search results and on product detail pages, with a choice of two delivery windows: 4 a.m. to 8 a.m. or 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Customers can choose from millions of items across 35 product categories.
The retailer also has added a new 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. delivery window for same-day orders. Both Prime Overnight and Prime Same-Day deliveries are free for Prime members placing eligible orders over $25, or for a per-order fee of $6.99 for orders under $25. Non-Prime members can pay $11.99 per order for same-day delivery.
Amazon Canada can expand its same-day delivery services thanks to “placing products closer to customers, which means items are traveling fewer miles and experiencing fewer handoffs between the time an order is placed and the time it arrives on customers’ doorsteps,” according to a blog post. The retailer has allocated more than $750 million globally this year toward technology, training and resources designed to improve safety across its network.
